An Info Point is the perfect digital interpretation hub, providing visitors to outdoor sites with useful up-to-date content to browse and download.
Info Point is rugged and robust, working in cold and marine environments without issue. Info Point has a range of 150 metres (250 metres with a high gain antenna) and if you need further coverage, over a larger area, our Info-Point Extenders daisy chain together.
Visitors connect to an Info-Point via a QR code and then browse your content to their heart’s content, just as if they were browsing the web. Users can download PDFs e.g walking trails, to take with them to enhance their visit.
If you run temporary events, for example guided tours, archaeology digs and/or exhibitions then our Event kit provides a portable solution. For permanent installations why not consider one of our solar essentials kits or an outdoor digital signs – a roofed interpretation panel with a hidden Info Point. Read our Nant Llwynog Parc case study to learn how Bedlinog and Trelewis Community Council utilised our solar-powered Info Point sign. Equally, why not plug the Info Point into a power source in a suitable building to cover the adjacent outdoor (and indoor) areas. The options are endless.

Archaeology sites
At Oakham, the University of Leicester used Info Point with an Event kit to inform visitors about ongoing progress. With new finds being discovered all the time the Info Point has kept people up-to-date in real time.
For short-term digs our Event kit, complete with battery and rugged case, turns your Info Point into a self-contained and portable information hub. For permanent installations consider one of our Solar essentials kits or Digital signs.
The Info Point enabled us to present the historical context to the steady stream of visitors, and to easily upload photographs and video of finds as things progressed. I watched people of all ages using it and they seemed comfortable with the smartphone technology. It helped us to improve the presentation of information, and suited the outdoor environment of a dig better than other means.
