Info Point delivers site-specific multimedia content to any mobile device. It rewards visitors for visiting because the stories you share on Info Point are only available to those who come to your site.
Connecting to Info Point is a simple two-step process. Visitors then freely browse videos, audio, text, images and interactives without any downloads, logins or mobile data needed.
A multimedia guide with just your content. Anywhere.
Info Point is so simple to set up and maintain. Give your Info Point a home, switch it on and then allow your visitors to connect to content in their browser, using their own phone or tablet. Content uploading and editing is fast with simple drag and drop functionality.
Info Point is completely independent of the internet – it stores its own content and creates it’s own localised Wi-Fi network. This means visitors can use their own phone or tablet to connect, and won’t incur any costs. However, Info Point does have the functionality to encourage and enable donations.
Software
Every Info Point comes pre-installed with a custom-built PlaceMaker Content Management System (CMS), which allows you to start uploading content and building pages straight out of the box. We provide login details and remote CMS training (that we record and share with you for future reference) so you know what to do. And if you ever have a question, just get in touch.
Hardware
Info Point is a standalone, plug and play system with an industrial-grade mini computer and WiFi router you can place almost anywhere, both indoors and outdoors. With some basic weather protection the insect and dust-protected enclosure is even suitable for harsh, coastal environments. The computer’s robust construction ensures many years of continuous operation, and the auto-recovery feature reboots the server following power interruptions.
Every Info Point allows up to 150 users to connect at any one time (less if video is being shared) within a range over 100 metres (roughly the size of a football pitch). An Info Point uses less energy than a low energy light bulb and can be powered by mains (AC adaptor supplied) and battery, or why not opt for a solar-powered Info Point? Some key features of Info Point are:
- Extremely reliable for continuous, unattended use
- Commercial-grade components
- Intelligent, auto-recover facility
- 100+ metre range (200+ metre with optional high gain antenna)
- Add Info Point Extenders to boost range and simultaneous users even further
- Suitable for internal and external uses
- 5 year warranty (NLHF suitable)
You can add up to three Info Point Extenders or Solar-powered Extenders to boost the range of your Info Point.
