Info Point has been installed at St Michael and All Angels, Kingsland, Herefordshire, as part of a £700,000 major restoration and heritage activity project that was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Outputs from the seven year Familiar Treasures project, including documenting work on the new roof, have been captured on the Info Point. There is also behind the scenes footage and two self-guided church tours are also available; one containing quizzes, puzzles, word searches and jigsaws aimed specifically for children.
Info Point has made a huge difference to the way we tell our church’s story. We have 900 years of heritage to share: the Info Point helps us do that in a simple, engaging and meaningful way. Our visitors can now hear about our history through tours of the church, ‘spotlights’ and photographs of various architectural features, children’s games and a digital jigsaw, and audio and film clips. We even have a donation feature which allows us to fundraise!
